My garage runs but doesnt pick up the door…
My motor of the garage door runs but the door remains stationary.
What is the problem and what is causing it?
We can pick up the door by hand but cannot use the remote.

Oh.. I know exactly what the problem is.. I have that same problem from time to time.. maybe once every 2 years.. The problem is that you have to get a new SPRING.. It is that long spring that is ON the garage door.. It is broken and if you check carefully, you will see where it is no longer ONE long piece but is broken into two….A garage door man would have to do that for you.
the gears are plastic inside the box and will wear out. they can be replaced
