Any suggestion for buying an exterior wood door?

I dont like steel door or fiberglass door, I want to have a exterior wood door and like to paint them. But I can not offer aok and mahogany, so I have to go with pine or fir.

I know there are a lot door manufacturers,but does anyone have any good suggestion on the selection?

I think pine look would be would be your best selection, it is better than fir. Of course if you like mahogany door,but can not offer them. You can buy some mahogany color to paint your door then it will have the nice look.

Just look at the door good before buying, you should check wether it has finger joints showing on the panles or frame.That is more for paint great wood.
